Four Seasons


"I Flauti di Toscanini" Flutes Orchestra performs a medley from Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Marcella Piccinini is the soloist. Paolo Totti is the director.

First movement from Spring (Allegro), second movement from Winter (Largo) (starts at 3.10) and third movement from Summer (Presto) (starts at 5.10).

The Four Seasons (Le quattro stagioni in original Italian) is a set of four concertos. Composed in 1723, The Four Seasons is Vivaldi's best-known work, and is among the most popular pieces of Baroque music. The work has been recorded on numerous occasions.

Each of the concertos is named after a season. Each one is in three movements, with a slow movement between two faster ones.
